After much deliberation, I took the plunge and have sent my 2006 111R in for a full 2 stage paint correction and ceramic coat. The first 2 pictures show the surface swirls that were on the car that show up in the light, no doubt after 18 years of washing and use. (Even though its garaged and not used in the wet) Overall the paint is really good, but the aged paint swirls let it down. 

Took it to a local professional detailer, as I didnt think I could do any where near as good a job as the car deserves. 

He has sent me a number of pics and videos of the 20hrs spent cutting and polishing. Today the ceramic coat goes on and I pick up tonight! 

Looking forward to seeing the transformation......

Looks superb Dave - showroom fresh 👍.  Ardent Red is definitely one of the best colours on the Elise (and Exige).

When I spec'ed up my Elise S back in 2014, it had to be Ardent Red...

The guy who did it liked the red too.

Looks real classy, and has stood the test of time.
